Creative at The Carnegie Club

  • One of the world's most prestigious private members clubs, The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle offers members and their guests luxurious accommodation, impeccable service, and the ultimate Highland escape.
  • The Creative team lead the charge on communications and strategic partnerships at Skibo, as well as developing new and varied opportunities to ensure the Club maintains a healthy prominence within the luxury environment.
  • With 280 team members, the Club relies on the seamless connection across its 20+ departments to ensure the smooth running of the business. The Creative team is central to this connection, working alongside relevant HODs to lead in digital communications from social media channels, website content, and newsletters to printed collateral like postcards, menus, and brochures.
  • The Creative team ensures brand integrity by maintaining consistent tone of voice and quality across all our communications for guests and members.

About the role 

  • We are looking for a talented and dynamic Creative Manager to support the wider Creative team at Skibo as we drive forward a range of exciting and rewarding projects to bring 'heaven on earth' to all our members and guests.
  • Working with the Creative Assistants and Head of Creative, you'll be responsible for member communications, supporting on PR projects, driving forward digital communications, as well as collateral requirements.
  • You'll participate in a wide variety of copywriting, proofing, and editing projects on a regular basis, delivering high-quality written communications ranging from member emails and the Skibo Daily News to social content and blog posts.
  • You'll also produce and develop copy for posters, programmes and other in-house collateral as required.
  • You'll be responsible for updating collateral and will create a variety of branded assets ensuring brand integrity at all times. 
  • Managing updates of both the members' and public-facing websites as well as our social channels, you'll measure the effectiveness of content and bring new ideas and creative concepts to the table.
  • You’ll support the Head of Creative and People & Culture department with employer branding, employee comms, and recruitment social strategy.
  • Working with the Head of Creative, you'll support with PR activities and campaigns, supervise photoshoots, liaise with photographers, and manage the image library and usage agreements as required.
  • From crafting a bespoke cocktail menu for a private dinner to a special invitation for a birthday gathering, you'll use your skills and creativity to support departments across the Club in making magical moments for all our members and guests.

Who we are looking for 

  • You have a proven track record of delivering great results in a fast-paced marketing team, either in-house or agency-side.
  • An ability to work at pace is vital in this role, along with having excellent attention to detail. You're adaptable and enjoy working with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels and departments.
  • You have a high standard of written English and excellent proof-reading skills.
  • You have experience managing projects, working with agency partners, briefing-in projects and reporting on marketing effectiveness.
  • You love to create fantastic content – whether it's copy-based, design, or digital collateral.
  • With a strong eye for design, you can spot what looks right and what doesn't.
  • You're confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
  • You have experience with Canva (essential), Photoshop, Google Analytics, MODX, and eCRM systems (desirable).
  • You're a strong communicator, able to engage in a professional and friendly manner with members, guests, colleagues, and brand partners to find and disseminate the information we need to support operations at the Club.
  • You're a motivated and adaptable team player who enjoys working with others and takes pride in contributing to the achievements of departments across the business.

About Gratuities and Service Charge

  • Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to room rates and other services at the Club that is passed directly to staff) are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of their role. 
  • It is estimated that in 2024, full-time staff can expect to receive around £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
