b'THE CARNEGIE CLUBT he osprey is a majestic bird of prey, recognised in many cultures as a potent symbol of power and strength. For a quarter of a century, the emblem of an osprey in flight with a salmon in its claws has represented The Carnegie Club, and this image reminds me of how much the Clubs reputation for dedication to quality and excellence has grown and spread across the globe. How has this been achieved? Firstly, by having the right property in the most perfect natural location, which has been developed over the centuries with sensitivity and passionmost recently by owners Ellis and Eve Short. Secondly, by having the right people to make it work. Collectively, our permanent staff possesses0 5 more than 1,000 years of experience at Skibo. This gives a great sense of continuity and allows quality to develop. And finally, having the right support. Without the backing and encouragement of each and every one of our members over the years, nothing would have been achieved. We can now boast members from more than 36 countries worldwide, some of whom have been with us from the outset. Your loyalty is testament to the Shorts commitment to the Club, to the wonderful welcome and service our staff provides, and has made The Carnegie Club what it is todaytruly heaven on earth.
